Identifying negative stress early on can prevent both mental and physical illness. LUCA puts over 20 years of research on the connection between physiological biomarkers and mental well-being in the palm of your hand, making stress visible so you can discover issues before they become more serious conditions. This application integrates with HealthKit to accurately determine cardiac, activity, and sleep stress scores.
BIOMETRICS
LUCA measures stress objectively, translating a biometric ‘language of the body’ into three scores: Cardiac Stress, Activity Stress, and Sleep Stress. Connecting a wearable device allows you to track and identify areas of concern, recognize patterns, and identify where stress is showing up.
PERCEIVED STRESS ASSESSMENT
The perception you have about the stress you are experiencing also has a significant impact on your overall well-being. Check your level of Perceived Stress with a self-administered Assessment. LUCA reminds you to answer this short, ten question survey every two weeks. The Assessment does not require a wearable device and results are confidential.
ODYSSEY
The Odyssey is developed by Medibio’s neuroscience team and is designed to help identify and confront stressors and learn how individual characteristics, like personality and emotional intelligence, shape stress response. Use these tools to explore the difference between positive (eustress) and negative (distress) and evaluate your coping strategies. All features in the Odyssey can be explored without the use of a wearable device.
LUCA can be downloaded for free and several of LUCA’s features are offered free to all users. Free features are a bi-weekly Perceived Stress Assessment and a Personality Survey. A subscription to LUCA (either monthly or annual) provides access to all LUCA features – biometric monitoring, Perceived Stress Assessment, Personality Survey, Emotional Intelligence Assessment, Awareness module which identifies stressors in one’s life, a Burn-out assessment, and a Misalignment module which helps users assess their coping strategies to the identified stressors.

- updated home page
- added a new navigation panel
- removed the sleep cycle toggle from the home page
- made all features except biometrics totally free
